By brokering this fragile truce with NYPD and the billionaire-owned, corporate-conglomerate lobby, Z functionally gave NYPD license to maintain its status quo.

Zohran Mamdani has repeatedly and quickly turned into a disappointment. See @prisonculture.bsky.social 's thread on the NYC library budget. I don't expect much from electoral politics, and yet they still fail.
18.02.2026 14:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Remember the key is the percentage allocated based on the city expense budget. So Mayor Mamdani is ACTUALLY allocating 0.39% of that to public libraries. LESS THAN ADAMS & also MUCH LESS THAN THE 0.5% that he ran on. Remember too that the ACTUAL FY26 budget was $523 million [after budget dance].

Examining the bodies returned to their people after the most recent so-called ceasefire, Palestinian doctors noted that, in some bodies โthe rib cage and ribs were clipped with a sharp sawโa medical saw, a bone sawโand the sternum, along with the central part of the ribs, [were] lifted to allow for the removal of the heart and lungs without damage to the organ being taken.โ Organ procurement, with few exceptions like skin and cornea, requires that the body be either aliveโvia brain deathโor just-deadโvia circulatory death. It is plausible that some Palestinian prisonersโ torture led to brain death. It is also possible their torturers felt no need to wait. Palestinian witnesses have reported that some prisoners were alive at the time they were taken for organ extraction. In one batch of bodies, the organs removed were those commonly transplanted: heart, liver, lungs. The transplant surgeon waits for a person to die; the soldier canโt. The settler surgeon wields his mastery over the body to serve the state. Here, the surgeon acts asโisโa soldier.
