Ah fair enough. I do hope compatibility with Windows programs continues to get better. Wine and Proton have been making great progress in making a lot of programs work on Linux, though they’re still far from perfect.

Nvidia does make Linux specific drivers. I know there’s a project called Nouveau that is trying to make fully open source drivers for Nvidia GPUs, but I haven’t looked at the project in a while.

Their proprietary drivers should still work for you. Last one that supports the 700 series was from July of last year from what I see.

Might want to check for issues with PipeWire / PulseAudio. Had audio issues relating to them when I was using EndevourOS on my old gaming laptop.

Yep. I had no problems using my GTX1080 on my Linux install (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed). I’ve switched to AMD graphic cards now, but the 1080 was painless to get working.
