Rhetorical question of course, history already shows how this works out in actual-reality (spoiler alert: badly, for everyone, and the very biosphere itself this time too).

Wealth has been concentrated to a degree massive enough to split reality in two; not just have vs have-not, but consequences vs no consequences.

How do you reason with people who live in a no-consequence reality, especially when they'd happily watch you die for one more dime?

Absolute insanity. Now that they've made every dime they can off our backs, they're throwing every dime they have into an effort to break our backs entirely.

Pro-AI people assuming UBI is anywhere on the endgame table should be laughed at like naive children.
