From personal experience working at Starbucks, doing much of anything to fix that even a bit (like not just leaving the milk pitcher under the wand to steam) will get a barista reprimanded. Their entire model is about making the most mid of coffees, and the baristas have nothing to do with that.

I get where you're coming from, but also their coffee being terrible has nothing to do with the baristas. Starbucks corporate standards and practices from raw bean to cup are a perfect storm of how to NOT make good coffee. There's so many bad habits that have to be trained out of ex-SB baristas.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

As the parent of a trans teen in the US, schools (here at least) cannot reasonably stop student access to cell phones on campus until their safety from at least active shooters can be guaranteed. This goes double for any already marginalized kids.
