This is what I do too!

I take pictures of real bugs and squish computer ones * WA US * randomness and wtf ππ§οΈππΏ They/them / adult / not internet famous I hope
This is what I do too!
22.12.2023 21:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok so when cooking, you have a covered pot, and itβs time to open the potβ¦ what do YOU do with the hot, dripping, possibly food covered lid?
22.12.2023 17:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Some days you take pictures of the spooky black-on-black shape with glowing eyes in the darkness and sometimes you *are* the shape in the darkness
11.12.2023 02:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Canβt help wondering how the beaver felt about this
You do all that hard work with your TEETH and then somebody comes in like βok but check it out VRRRRRRRR *crash*β
My βfavoriteβ thing about this is how it initially goes with a metaphorical take where woims is a colloquialism for any barter or perhaps βexposureβ based economy, but then quickly decides that actually, woims is woims
09.12.2023 21:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This was supposed to be βtyrannyβ but autocorrect decided only βtyrantβ is a word. Tyrant of Lawn is my new d&d monster type
09.12.2023 19:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs a blurry trailcam picture of a shadowy hulk with glowing eyes, taken at 12:31AM on December 4. The camera registered 22F.
Bear! The stream gully has bear friend! I hope they will not really be my friend. Befriending humans is bad if you are a bear.
09.12.2023 17:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Back Garden progress! The tyrant of lawn will fall.
09.12.2023 16:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Recent collapse, seems likeβ¦ check out those concentric circles in the mud. Fallen tree of yore, maybe?
09.12.2023 00:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did that even tag, the tag isnβt a link
04.12.2023 15:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0#invert if you see this and you donβt wanna see a bug, maybe do something about it?
04.12.2023 15:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Watching some microcosmos (βcatching upβ is a lost cause at this point) and the second Hank says βpolka-dotted vacuum cleanerβ I yelled βAeolosoma!β Feel like anybody whoβs met one of these would immediately recognize them from that description lmao
04.12.2023 15:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whatβs a bit more disturbing is that sometimes it seems people think itβs naive and childish to appreciate something that doesnβt directly lead to personal gain. Like itβs socially acceptable to enjoy edible mushrooms but if itβs not edible itβs weird if you like it, whatβs it useful for?
01.12.2023 15:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sometimes looking at bugs and moss and stuff is billed as an activity βfor kidsβ (only) and I think thatβs a problem. Childhood is where nature appreciation should BEGIN, not where it should END.
01.12.2023 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(She doesnβt get the seasonings)
01.12.2023 03:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Simple is best. Butter, salt, coconut cream, maple syrup, garam masala.
G will have hers with stew type dog food.
Maybe G can have some with her dinner, since sheβs on soft food for a few days and itβs probably a perfectly good thing for a dog to eat
G appears to think this is a great idea
I donβt wanna do much cooking, so probably something like βbutter and nutmeg and a bit of brown sugar, cube and toss in a pan real quick, eat on riceβ or βsquash is an appropriate base to eat chili onβ or maybe βmashed squash like mashed sweet potatoesβ
01.12.2023 01:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Anyway what should I do with a roast winter squash for supper at like 8? Dinner (late lunch) was half a frozen pear Gorgonzola pizza I picked up a couple weeks ago at Safeway.
01.12.2023 01:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wish bskyβs mobile web interface didnβt freeze if I looo at it funny.
01.12.2023 01:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thereβs a farm stand near the vet so I stopped by before picking G up from her dental surgery (which went well!) and now I have a pile of winter squash that were 5 for $5. Tonight Iβm trying out whole roasting. I was too much of a wimp to put them in without poking them with a knife a few times tho.
01.12.2023 01:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you need to understand a logistics problem, consult with experts.
30.11.2023 19:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And itβs not that bad - sometimes thereβs snow! I justβ¦ feel a bit disinclined towards Freezing My Butt Off rn.
28.11.2023 03:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Time When Itβs Actually Legitimately Cold fortunately doesnβt last all that longβ¦ like mid-Dec through mid-Jan, maybe?
28.11.2023 02:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Getting closer to what I think is one of my two least favorite WA months/mini-seasons: The Time When Itβs Actually Legitimately Cold. My other unfavorite moves around, and is The Time When Itβs Hot And Dry And Things Are On Fire.
28.11.2023 02:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Whoever said plants are slow never had to control a thicket of an invasive species in late spring.
26.11.2023 20:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And thereβs a thicket of Himalayan blackberry to try to reclaim. Working on the yard and finding my way into the woodland are going to be an endless lot of work, which I am loving every minute of so far (though weβll see in spring when I have to keep up with the plants)!
26.11.2023 19:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also working on taking out the existing lawn a little at a time and shall be planting a lot of native shrubs and flowers, propagated from plants on the property as much as possible.
26.11.2023 19:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Once the leaves dropped and I could see into the woods to find a way in, I put a trailcam in the stream gulley. It saw a bobcat! I shall try to keep my activity to a reasonable level so as not to disrupt the wildlifeβs lives too much.
26.11.2023 19:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Most of the neighborsβ 5 acre lots are the same way - small clear for the house, 4.5 acres of steep hilly woodland. My woodland is divided by me into these sections; the hillside [bigleaf maple] forest; the hemlock grove; the stream gulley; the redcedars in the yard; the riverside; across the river.
