Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

As someone who keeps their personal information and furry life very separate for reasons like this I fully agree

the most gen-X take I have is that I consider "real person fanfic" to be a grotesque violation of fan boundaries and that writing and posting erotic fiction about a real human streamer or podcaster or celebrity is unhealthily parasocial at best and borderline stalker behavior
