Today I have a turkey vulture for you

a 6 panel comic, 2 panels per hour. 8am show Temrin in bed trying to wake up, then holding a toothbrush with sparkling teeth. 9am shows Temrin accepting a coffee from a barista happily, then a sketch of the outdoors to go for a walk. 10am shows Temrin starting to draw the comic, then of a book they journal in.

In my Steam review of Dwarf Fortress, I described how safely teaching dwarves to swim by creating a swimming pool is absurdly fiddly, and ultimately more difficult than simply creating a magma pump doomstack to obsidianize an entire underground lake and all of the reptile men inside it. The game seems almost intentionally designed such that, and I quote my own review: >it is easier to build an apocalyptic magma superweapon than it is to teach your dwarves how to swim. This is a great example of that. You guys are trying to split coins and are discussing industrialized pain magic because the game has robust systems for pain magic but not for coin splitting, and it's easier to create the Goblin Torment Nexus and Coin Splitting Apparatus than it is to split coins in a sensible manner. Also, to be clear, this isn't a criticism - I built the Obsidian Pyramid of Perfect Safety to contain all the bodies of the Necromancers who died in my Adamantine Spear Trap Necromancer Execution Room, and also the single (un)living Necromancer who somehow survived it despite losing all of his limbs, thus ensuring that because he can't ever die and nobody can access the pyramid, my fortress can never fall to ruin.

ase's design through the years. 2013: a simple, boxy-snouted dragon. looks depressed. labelled 'louis'. ~2018: a dragon labelled 'ase' next to a few scribbled-out names. looks apprehensive. their mane has grown out, their features softened, and some plate scales are now on the bridge of their snout. their eyes sport visible lashes. 2024: a nervous dragon with an awkward smile. their mane is even fluffier, and they now have a second set of ears. one more plate scale adorns their snout. 2026 (marked work-in-progress): the dragon now has horns and the very front of their mane is grown down to cover half of their face. a toothy, animalistic, though genuine smile is worn - made by pulling up into half-snarl in a face that isn't built for typical expression. a fifth plate scale adorns their snout. the lashes are no longer present. they look away bashfully - "i'm... working on it!". eyelashes are no longer prominent. there is a question mark by their name.
