Ah, there's no need! I'm already working on it, had a good scan lying around my archives so I decided to go with it. I'll do a version with the logo and one without, and try to restore the "O'Brien" signature since that doesn't seem to be handwritten.

I'm playing it on my Switch Lite, and I'm amazed at how good the game looks and runs! More games need to be like this, ditch the realistic mumbo jumbo, and stick to the artistry and beautiful design to overcome limitations.

I've been wanting to restore this one using the poster that came with the game (will have to take a few liberties to remove the logo in full though).

Garou: Mark of the Wolves clean artwork used most likely for promotional material/extras. Gauntlet clean artwork by Joe Chiodo used on the cover of the NES releases (both) in North America. It was also used for Gauntlet IV on Sega Genesis / Mega Drive (all regions). It's a beautiful piece of hardware, the design is so futuristic and retro at the same time. Too bad consoles these days look generic or like ornamental vases.😏

That's a fair point, a common practice back in those days especially when it comes to 8-bit computer ports of arcade games. But in this case it only applies to the NA version, the PAL regions have the correct screenshots.

Both Castlevania and Contra are hard but fair. I can see some parts being kind of BS (medusa heads and knock back in Castlevania for instance) but practice makes perfect. In GnG it seems some things are weirdly randomized and all over the place resulting in frustration other than challenge.

I did on NES mini. Thank the lord for save states.🤣 But in all honesty, the game is unfairly hard, and having to endure it twice to see the real ending is torture.

Only if the NES version looked and played that good.🤣

The IP is owned by Capcom, not Nintendo. And there's a literal NES right there so Nintendo isn't the issue here.

I've been watching Stranger Things season 5 and I couldn't help to notice that Ghosts 'n Goblins on NES doesn't exactly look what I remember. They couldn't even get this small detail right.🙄

Finished Lies of P on #PlayStation 5. Beautiful game, with really good gameplay that encourages aggressive combat with well timed parries rather than defending/dodging, fantastic atmosphere, and a twist on a classic story. I dare say, it's better than any of the Dark Souls games.

Out of the 3 main games, I think it's the weakest.
