Escaflowne clean artwork used on the movie's poster in western markets. Image depicts Van Fanel in the center holding a sword while standing in a field with buildings in the distance as well as a floating island. In the sky, the face of Hitomi Kanzaki can be seen on the left and a bit back in the shadows there's Escaflowne.

For me it's hard to pinpoint this one. The character design for the series and the movie is vastly different. I've seen some other artists such as Masaki Tanaka and Hiroshi Osaka credited for some illustrations from the series.

It's not a particularly expensive game. The PAL version CIB goes for around โ‚ฌ50 these days or cheaper if you're lucky. I could have got it some years ago for way less, but let it pass.

I was thinking of buying this day one since I don't have the PS1 original, but I think I'll hold for a while.

I saw that one for the first time when I was going through channels on my TV (something I haven't done in ages), caught it right in the beginning, and really enjoyed it. Gotta rewatch it sometime soon.

Hello good people of BlueSky! Here's an odd request: I need a good clean scan of this cover and also the reversible side to make a western cover since this particular collection got shafted. So if any caring soul is willing to help, I'd appreciate it!

Ah, such a good game! It's a shame it never got an official translation but I guess the fan translation is suitable enough in my book. I'd also love to see a modern remake with the style they used for Link's Awakening on Switch.
