Driving the rain-soaked backroads in Southern Kentucky today and saw a bald eagle just on the side of the road, hunting. The sight was so visually stunning I could not stop thinking about it. Haven’t been creatively inspired in a while but I had to preserve the memory.

I used to wonder the same thing. After years of false starts I finally found my One because not only did I almost immediately love him but also because of the way he made me feel loved; AND how I loved who I was when I was with him.

I saw this orange coat in my small town “upscale” thrift store and my first thought was “is that the monster from Bugs Bunny” 🤔

In the drive thru today I couldn’t tell when the worker read my order back if she said “Diet Coke” or “Value Coke”. So I asked her “um, was that a Diet or a Regular coke?” And she said “whatever you want..” Ma’am, that wasn’t the question 🤣

“It’s not on the shelf but do y’all have the latest by Richard Osman?” And while she was gladly looking it up, I happened to glance behind the desk at the cart waiting to be reshelved, and lo and behold! We Solve Murders was right there! The glee I felt when she let me check it out. Yay libraries! 📚

I may have been a bit boisterous for library etiquette just now but as I was checking out my one book (The Paris Apartment-Lucy Foley) the girl asked if I was looking for any other books I couldn’t find. I usually don’t like to feel like a bother, but then I thought why not- she asked me! I said:

I really miss making mixtapes/cds. Digital playlists just don’t have the same high stakes dopamine rush as trying to pick just the perfect songs with limited space. Plus the bonus sharpie artwork on the cd.

Taking a nap is my ultimate restart. If I don’t have time for that, then the “legs up the wall” pose while listening to nature sounds for 15 minutes does wonders for me.
