It's fascinating how different everything looks from above. From the ground the beach was just the beach, but from the air the sea and the sand line up in an interesting way. Is this by design or naturally occuring by the tide over the years?

Being #deaf means I need to stare at peoples faces to lip read and get an idea of what they're saying. Being #ActuallyAutistic means I don't like staring at faces. Life is fun.

Despite leaving web design 20 years ago to be a photographer, I still think of myself as a geek with an interest in photography rather than an actual photographer. I've had an interesting 20 years but would I have money if I'd continued making accessible websites? Money is quite useful these days.

Fascinating watching Johnny Vegas process his life, art, and career. I see my #ADHD self for good and bad. Able to create but only when pushed, but being pushed can cause meltdown. Yay? Loved seeing him come alive when given the chance and space at Castle Fine Arts.

Was my camera an early stimming toy? A few years ago I found some Super 8 mm film footage of me playing with a camera as a young boy. I may have been 4 or 5 at the time. The camera has a range finder like look to it, but I doubt my paren...

Some photographers will make the point that gear doesn’t matter, and they can be right. But I’m #ActuallyAutistic. Cameras are my stim toys.

Wow. Glad she’s OK and that nothing bad happened to yourself in attempting a rescue.

Things I would like to do.
- Play with Fuji cameras again but without feeling like I needed a Leica instead
- Play with Fuji GFX just for fun
- Play with film cameras like I used to simply to play.

I know gear doesn’t matter, but play matters. Being curious and having fun matters. Need to do that.

Part of me wants to build a photoblog again, and also an old fashioned 2000 era blog blog. But trying to manage all that and my work photo journal and socials sound daunting. Too many things I’ll never use.

Spoke to my doctor about migraines. He was surprised at all the data I had. Aren’t others doing their own peer reviewed studies before going to the doctor?

Sorry to hear that. They absolutely suck. At one point I was sure mine were due to the phase of the moon. So hard to figure them out. I’ll speak to my doctor about a hormone test. Beta blockers haven’t helped.
