Footage I took earlier of the moment Reverend David Black, a regular protester outside of the Broadview Detention Center, was shot in the head with a pepper ball by ICE agents on the roof of the facility.

Um, ICE just coldly shot an unarmed PRIEST in the head w a pepper ball when he (and everyone around him) clearly posed no threat.

For the crime of … complaining about government policy.

Yep. And I do get it. The Dems have decided that this is the fight to rally behind because it IS popular. But man does it feel hollow to get riled up over healthcare (important as it is) while being mostly silent over gestapo kidnapping citizens.

Mass chaos. Fires blazing. Complete public disorder.

I’m horrified by Trump’s order to send 300 National Guard troops to Chicago. We’re only nine months into a four year term and already the president is trying to invade an American city. If you’re in the Guard, you can and should refuse these orders.

So, this isn’t about the US (and I suspect it’s intentionally phrased to make people like me share the link — so i shall not).

But, I think it says something that I did have to actually check to see if this was about this president. It’s crazy. But… not that crazy anymore.

Does it count if I’m aware of it as a thing, can slightly recall it as an early childhood thing, but mostly remember it as a Family Guy throwaway gag that made me chuckle because I kinda remembered it?

This morning, the Trump Administration’s Department of War gave me an ultimatum: call up your troops, or we will. It is absolutely outrageous and un-American to demand a Governor send military troops within our own borders and against our will.

Or asking black community leaders to condemn gang violence. Or asking Muslims to condemn terrorism. Etc etc.

No one ever asks Christians (particularly evangelicals) to defend their support of Israel. Even though many of them directly support far right groups in the region. Maybe we should start.
