I’ve learnt so much this year about the housing market. I bought an empty house and tenants bought mine so we thought it would be quick. I made my offer in August and had delay after delay. The solicitors take their time responding and we had unresolved queries for ages. But worth it.

Could be a good idea though. It cost my seller £2k. She wouldn’t budge from that reduction.

Well don’t get one from British Gas anyway. I only went with them so I could spread the payments.
