Marjorie Stephenson’s scientific legacy is a powerful reminder of what that commitment made possible: rigorous scholarship, quiet persistence, and impact far beyond her time. Her work shaped both science and the space women could claim within it.

Tom’s work shows GPI-anchored protein sorting occurs independently of GPI insertion signals, hinting at alternative sorting logic at the parasite surface.
