By their logic, a boss holding raises and promotions hostage by forcing employees to engage in sexual favors is just, in the words of Sam Eagle, “Business”.

I guess until this admin straight up says “WE ARE FASCISTS AND WE ARE DOING A FASCISM”, a substantial amount of Americans will just keep finding excuses and justifications.

Had they cancelled the show at any other time and cited low metrics, there wouldn’t have been this much pushback. Anecdotally, I don’t even know anyone who watched Kimmel, or any other late night show for that matter.

Instead, ABC explicitly cited the Kirk situation.

Claiming the Kimmel situation has nothing to do with free speech because it allegedly doesn’t make a profit when this administration has CONSISTENTLY leaned on businesses and corporations to do its bidding for political/financial favors is asinine.

Hyper focusing on Millennials when Gen Alpha mostly consumes YouTube and isn’t building nostalgic memories at the parks is eventually going to hurt.

Long term, I think this will bite them. They’re very keen to keep dining on the corpse of Eisner’s Disney decade, but they’re not building generational interest

I think Disney fans who value theming, the history of the company, design, and high standards of quality might drop off, but the casual Disney Adult isn’t going anywhere, the company has a chokehold on their life. At least when it comes to Disneyland and its heavily locals centric clientele.
