A phenomenon I find interesting is the yearning for corporations to launch copyright nukes on the AI companies. Which is to say there is such a feeling of hopelessness and a kind of legal void around this stuff that many people are demanding someone, anyone, do something about it in court.

Considering GDAI leadership includes people that made such bangers like ‘Roulette 3D Casino Style’ maybe the games industry needs a reset before allowing such people to beg on the industry’s behalf.

And furthermore how can you with a straight face claim that the games industry is a sunshine sector and then go “but actually we need 1000+ cr for game designers”.

Maybe before the games industry is asking money from the government the games industry should have its own fund put together by GDAI leadership. Put your money where your mouth is.

It’s nice to say that you want to follow what other markets like Poland and China have achieved but even then they delivered on proof of life before asking for a handout.

Entire generations of talent left and continue to leave because of poor leadership. After eroding talent for years to fatten bottom lines now beg for handouts. Yuck.
