Sorry for being silent for any out there who cares. I tend to recede from the world in spurts and I believe myself to be more in forest hermit mode lately. I'll emerge from the oak-wood copse in due time, a wizard is never late.

A nice jaunt through the woods and rain this #Michigan morning with the kiddos got us a hefty haul of berries. Time to make some jam.

Love this silly plant. It satisfies my goldfish brain as I'm wandering the yard going from "Ooh look, sorrel!" to "Ooh look, more sorrel!" until I end up where I need to be.

To me it's ~65% a made-up culture war wedge. It kinda sucks for 'everybody' these days, and has been that way for a couple decades now. Everybody feels the rot but solutions fall deaf in the face of the 24 hour outrage cycle. Young white men are being given a target to hate and told they're hated.

Are they over-engineered for holding 600 pounds of soil? Probably. 'Will' it hold 600 pounds of soil? Hopefully. 😅

The kids and I woke up early to make a fresh mothets day bouquet from our property. This year is mostly natives!
