Wikipedia blacklists Archive.today, starts removing 695,000 archive links If DDoSing a blog wasn't bad enough, archive site also tampered with web snapshots.

The headline does not convey how completely batshit this story is. The Archive Today (archive.ph etc) admin weaponized the site's captcha to attack a blogger who wrote about them and *altered archived screenshots* as part of the attack.

i've decided not to listen to the audio of a teacher reporting a kindergartender because frankly I don't want to become the person that that event would turn me into. but one thing I hope we are collectively coming to grips with is what it meant that we have lived among such people this whole time

i will always have a soft spot for profiles of annoying people engaged in good work. being mildly annoyed is the baseline reality of organizing and existing in human society

thank you for this clarification. i thought it meant jerking off to clowns.

Don's analysis here is backwards. the separation and immigration+sovereignty referendums aren't in conflict, they're synergistic. expect huge cross-pollination between the organizers of both efforts. and if they both end up on the same ballot, each referendum will help draw in voters for the other.

everything but actually calling the spade a spade. I am very skeptical that the ANDP has the guts to just stand up and say Immigration Is Good Actually

Lewis countering the attack from the ANDP Notleyites by citing Naheed Nenshi was indeed a pretty canny maneuver

technically me too. but I don't think it counts when you're a baby. you have to be capable of understanding the concept of a prime minister

JT Sr., maybe? or Pearson? the ceiling for prime ministers certainly isn't very high

after the campaign, some legislation that gets challenged by the feds, which they can then campaign about all over again. perpetual motion machine.

it is gruesomely and terribly true that Justin Trudeau is the best prime minister of our lifetimes

20.02.2026 03:17 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

something you're going to hear constantly this year in Canadian politics is Trudeau Let Too Many In And We're Going To Fix That and regretfully the correct reply, which you will have moral duty to express, will be Justin Trudeau Was Right Actually

there is a pretty big spike in the 2021-2022 stats but it's preceded by an equally big dip in 2020-2021. hard to parse what exactly is going on from just the charts

20.02.2026 02:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

something I was wondering while looking at similar stats last night: how much of the surge in migration c. 2021-2022 that we see in the federal stats was just applications delayed by the pandemic finally being cleared?

20.02.2026 02:04 β€” πŸ‘ 12    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

if they run this such that we're voting on the separation referendum at the same time, things could get pretty bad. the separatists are sure to lose their own thing but they will certainly go all-in on all this anti-immigrant filth, and there are enough anti-migration normies to get >50% on these
