A federal judge in Oregon has blocked the Trump administration from deploying any federalized National Guard—Texas, California, the state’s own—in Oregon.

That’s big news. Even bigger: She’s decided to hold a trial on the merits. That is: She’s putting people under oath.

I wish pillowfort would take off. It's the only site where I feel like the owner wants me there and is willing to step in to protect people who actually need it.

Say, there wasn't a spot for it, but if the bundles get split, I also have a second book in this series out that I'd be happy to include

Please consider submitting a comment on a potential bill that would essentially destroy our carbon-neutral goals by declaring electricity generation methods that factually emit MORE carbon than coal/natural gas as "carbon neutral".

Love this book so much! Very good storytelling, with queer and trans teen characters, on the various and imperfect ways a (superhero!) family adjusts to acquired disability and its impact on identity, in a not-so-far-future America still in thrall to media spin and the prison industrial complex.

Ask them to slide the warrant under the door for you to look at it. It MUST be signed by a judge. An administrative warrant - which is what many ICE warrants are - does *NOT* allow them to enter your home.

They fired her because they were pressured by the right. Everyone (everyone!) needs to know that they will get just as many headaches caving to the right as they will standing up to them.
