The commonsense reform for a paramilitary organization that breaks into people's houses with no warrant, kidnaps people off the street based on the color of their skin, and shoots people in the streets, is abolition, Chuck.

Body cameras aren't the answer. They're not even part of the answer. The only answer is that ICE and CBP leave, Noem is impeached, DHS is dismantled and its functions returned to their pre-2003 agencies.

I genuinely have no idea how to convey this to the American people, but I think the biggest impediment to any kind of immigration reform is that people are convinced that "legal" and "illegal" are immutable, intrinsic categories instead of a rapidly-shifting arbitrary constellation of regulations.

I wonder how non-state entities factor into this complex and compelling question? I suppose an independent city founded by our benevolent overlords could declare certain humans virtually free (not in THAT sense...), or even declare them fiat currency in themselves! A glorious future awaits us all!
