We could not have done more to giftwrap this for QPR. Pathetic. Geldhardt, McBurnie, Lundstram, McNair, all just phoning it in. Giles’ delivery has been awful today too. Absolute shit.

We deserved to concede that. QPR didn’t deserve to score it but this has been a real couldn’t-give-a-fuck performance from City. No bravery, no energy, no real skill on show, utterly piss-poor decision making. There was a lot of credit in the bank but it is seeping away quickly.

Our decision making when under no pressure whatsoever really is baffling sometimes.

That doesn’t apply to Regan Slater, by the way.

Really wanted to cone away from this able to say we’d given it a good go, done ourselves justice. We haven’t.

Can we sack off five at the back now, please, and re-find a role for Kyle Joseph, who is a better option than most of the front three we’ve been playing of late?

Didn’t think it was a second yellow for the Watford player at the time. Then saw the ref throwing yellows around for absolutely anything we did and realised that if he was being consistent it absolutely should have been a second yellow.

Four points probably more than we deserve from these two games - our movement and decision making in the final third has been awful in the last two - but it’s consecutive clean sheets and a point gained tonight all things considered. We always struggle against teams filled with pace.

Geldhart’s decision making is shocking tonight. Would be thinking about getting Joseph on. But Hughes really is sensational.

Not the best start to proceedings. Hope we can get to half time at 0-0 and reorganise.

This is getting surreal. We just find a way, so consistently. And when the reliables have an off day, someone else stands up. That wasn’t a winning performance, perhaps, but we are a team of winners. And that’s what makes the difference.

A month ago most City fans would have been hoping we’d find better than Amir for our central midfield. But he’s been quietly superb of late. Just needed time to adapt. Crooks looking much better in the 10 role than earlier in the season too. Famewo showing his worth too. Just lovely.

The perfect evening. Every one of them brilliant. The last time we played Southampton and Preston in back-to bank away games we lost by an aggregate of 7-0. We did ok that season too. Dare we dream now on this one? There’s something about this team.

We should play on cabbage patches more often. Rugby league season’s starting soon, isn’t it?

Sticking with the Sister Sledge theme, grew up thinking the song Lost In Music was actually by Roxy Music and the lyrics were “We’re Roxy Music, we’re caught in a trap”. So less of a celebration of dance/disco music and more of a plea for help. Felt a bit of a tit when the realisation dawned.

This team. This fucking team. Amazing. No right to win that. But the fight, the bottle, the resolution, the guts, wow. This is one of the most loveable, most wonderful Hull City teams ever. And we’ve had some good ones. Just utter fucking pride tonight. What a team. Brilliant.

Absolute shambles for City fans getting into Hillsborough again. Turnstiles closed, stewards no idea what stand were going in. Of all the grounds you expect to avoid this kind of shit, this is the one you’d hope it resonates most. But no. Never does.

Dear England. Maybe this time treat the County Championship like it could be the answer to your problems, and not the scapegoat.
