Investing in SaaS?

Look for these 4 moats:

1. The Vault: They own the data "System of Record."

2. The Shield: They provide the legal/compliance guarantee.

3. The Result: They charge for outcomes, not "seats."

4. The Network: Their AI learns from all customers, not just one.

I really value good Managment, and you can get a sense of that from their actions.

But I’m very hesitant to speak directly with Managment to avoid being swayed. They are naturally persuasive, optimistic leaders.

I prefer to email questions to Managment for this reason

Death of SaaS ?

Proprietary data, solving difficult problems with software are a strong moats to attack.

Some software are just UI and could easily be swapped out, with a cheaper better product

Nuance is lost in online discussions IMO

Risk measures over last two years.

IBKR portfolio analyst is very impressive!

Very happy with the output too.

No leverage, but turnover very high due to selling big winners and reinvesting into other better risk reward positions (a couple of times!)
