Planetary health is public health - Healthy Debate
Ignoring planetary health would be a gross dereliction of duty by the public health profession.
At @cape-acme.bsky.social we're sometimes asked, Why don't doctors stay in their lane?
The answer: health is about more than health care.
Planetary health is public health, which is why the first National Day of Action on Planetary Health is happening Oct. 6.

Climate change and mental health: A critical intersection
Climate change is an “unappreciated mental health emergency” with inequitable impacts.

Oil and gas companies are pocketing most of BC's 'clean' industry funding
The lion's share of CleanBC's Industry Funds last year went to fossil fuel projects, raising alarms about greenwashing and missed targets.
And @rochellebaker1.bsky.social at @nationalobserver.com:
"Wealthy fossil fuel billionaires do not need money back from the BC government to subsidize an industry that's bad for our health.
It's like taxing tobacco producers and giving them the money back to put filters on their cigarettes."
