I’m so old I remember when that Hegseth boy got caught sending war plans over Signal by a reporter he accidentally included in the chat.

It only reflects the worst among us. That’s not a clear representation.

It’s an unregulated digital micro-economy. Actually a set of them.

The originator sets the initial price, promotes the hell out of it, and it rises or fall depending on how much it gets used. It’s hard to tax, easy to launder and easy to pump and dump.

And there are no consumer safeguards.

Since the week this president was sworn-in I’ve tracked the price of the same seven items at the same grocery (Publix at 13th and 39th, Gainesville) nearly every week. As of yesterday (11/21) that basket of groceries costs 8.81% more than it did on 1/20.

There are still absolute truths of modern western behavior. One of them is that the guys wearing the swastika are the bad guys.

Every time.

We use the word “customer” too much. It’s lazy and often inaccurate.

There will be a point when it will be hard to find elected officials who want to admit they ever supported the current guy. Take screen shots of headlines to prove it, and don’t let them forget.

And unconstitutionally and capriciously levied billions of dollars of taxes on the American people.

And disappeared __ people living in our nation, both with and without documentation.

And is using our military to blow up fishing boats and kill fishermen without evidence that they are doing anything to harm anyone in the US.

Don’t forget that this guy whose name appears in all those emails BULLDOZED THE EAST WING OF THE WHITE HOUSE. Illegally. Because he wanted to. (And exposed everyone working at and around the building to asbestos dust in the process.)

Don’t expect anything about Epstein to be the very end of Trump/MAGA. It will peel off a significant portion of devotees, but the organizing ethic of “Owning the Libs” isn’t going anywhere.

Doesn’t mean they aren’t headed for a permanent political minority status, however.

Ghouls. Effing ghouls.

Yes, but that doesn’t let them off the hook.

Most local media has made no effort to localize the shutdown story. It’s been covered as yet another distant DC thing, when in fact it hurts people in every community.

This is why folks treat elections the way they do - no one is showing people how it directly affects them.

The president is spending the weekend golfing at his private estate (on your dime) while his lawyers (also on your dime) sue states to keep them from distributing your tax money so your neighbors can buy food.

If you find yourself angry that the new mayor of a city you don’t live in wants free bus rides for everybody in his city but you don’t care that the president CAN release money for people having a hard time to buy groceries, but WON’T… this might be a good time to quietly reconsider your positions.
