Group of chickens gathered around a rack of ribs on a cooking pan unsure about what to do.

Had a rack of ribs that was a little old so I didn’t want to eat it. I hated the idea of it going to waste so we brought it out to the chickens. They gathered around and stared at it, very confused. No one was brave enough to try it. Eventually one did, and they all followed for a wonderful feast.

Some recent nature finds around my yard. A grape vine beetle, a brown prionid beetle, hosta flowers, and baby Carolina wren.

Happy Father’s Day! We celebrated yesterday by going river tubing. Otw we got a flat tire. Thanks to my dad, I knew how to change/plug a tire. It was on the side so I couldn’t plug it and had to put on the spare. It was nearly empty, but thanks to my father in-law we had a portable compressor!

My rabbit died today at 10 years old. He was the first pet my wife and I got together, back when we were just dating. We’ve grown so much since then, and maybe that’s why his passing hits so hard—he’s been with us through it all. We’ve grown so much together.
