Watching Strange New Worlds. I’m very much late to the party, but damn this is good Trek.

When I was about 12 I was told that I’d eventually grow out of my tabletop RPG hobby and my obsession with Star Wars.
I’m now in my 50s.
Last Friday I ran another session of the #WestEndGames #StarWars RPG for my son and his college friends.
Take that, boring grownups.

It’s such good writing and acting. It’s less of a raygun-blasting space opera and more of a slow-burn political thriller that just happens to take place in a galaxy far, far away. Much grittier than any of the movies (except Rogue One), but it still works.

That was the moment. Kate on the lobotomy-go-round was a close second. Even Maximilian doing the blender-hands thing to the one scientist guy was less scary for me.

Astonishing, innit?

For me it was the mirror-faced humanoids. They gave young me the screaming heebie-jeebies.
