Iβd been going through Japanese authors - Murakami, Ishiguro, Kawaguchi - and this
broke the pattern. Ten pages a night. Itβs extraordinary
Watched #Wicked
Such a brilliant, funny, inventive film
Didnβt expect it to be so emotional
Monday night and the cinema in Solihull was packed
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are both incredible
Heard a nice piece today
Bluebird by Alexis Ffrench (two Fs)
Bit similar to the theme tune from Transparent
In the spirit of nice Bluesky sharing, and I imagine people know this but even if one person hears it for the first time itβs a win - Shostakovich 2nd piano concerto second movement.
Half way through #Yellowstone season 1.
Reminds me of a horse riding holiday I took on my own with my two sons, then 15 and 13 in Colorado. All big vistas, eagles and humming birds.
Did white water rafting. In Denver got upgraded to the hotel penthouse that had two kitchens and a grand piano
@dieworkwear.bsky.social is one of the reasons Iβm on social media. Love his posts

We'd love to see campus through your eyes, so why not share a photo of your favourite campus spot below πΈ
We'll start!
A bad painting of a person, possibly a woman, wearing a yellow sweater, with dark brown hair and piercing eyes (the woman, not the sweater).
I love painting so much.
It's my only pleasure.
That and upsetting my local art society.
A delightful and sweet painting of a black cat.
Still one of the best cats I've ever painted.

My son just read me your poem Epilogue on the tube
So touching
No popularity contest, no magic wish. Just two clouds ofloneliness converging in a clap of thunderlight,
a starlit dream to cradle us till next winter.
But the purest memory is the storybook moment when we stood there, rain-drenched girls, elbow-high, and for once we became the characters we pencilled to paper like prayers as she asked the question every ten-year-old soul
wants to hold in her heartbeat forever: can we be best friends?
My 22 yr old son said he read this poem on the tube today. Think itβs beautiful
Called Epilogue by Dawn Sands
Donβt have enough characters so will paste in another post
Might just post comedy on here for now
If you like #Snuffbox, youβll like #ToastofLondon and if you like that youβll like #GarthMarenghi
Matt Berry in them
I also loved #Quacks which was sort of period medical
If you like Quacks youβll probably love #Hunderby
Iβm doing a new subscription podcast about comedy, with further thoughts about funny stuff, along the lines of the book. Thereβs a little preview now available on the usual public pod-platformsβ¦

You should do a series - dawdling near fountains, or lay next to people who are laid on their back squirting water in the air.
