La la la, nothing bad is happening (All photos posted were shot by me, usually very recently - I'm trying to make photography a habit again. Usually using a Pentax K-1 or a Fuji X-Pro2 - yes I'm staying in 2016, things are better here.)

Couldn't find any recent shots for #WeekWForWindows , but I managed to dig this out. Tokyo, 2009, #pentax K200D. A sufficient quantity of windows.

...and if/when inference is cheap enough to be profitable to provide as a service, everyone else can do that too even without the massive newly-obsolete data centers - and also it'll be efficient enough to run locally on our phones and laptops. It's mostly a way to part investors from money. Right?

"In South Africa, white people wanted black people for labour. Most Israelis appear to want Palestinians out."

Perhaps you're saying there are better parallels to draw here than South Africa?

Mainstream media, innit.

I'd think i was going mad if it wasn't for people such as yourself on the fringes of the internet who validate my own memory of events.

History in the National Curriculum (England) [folder - Anna’s Archive Great Britain. Department of Education and Science 1 v. (looseleaf) : 32 cm The Stationery Office Books

I definitely didn't, at school in the 80s and 90s. I found the 1991 curriculum (annas-archive.org/md5/36dd27ba...) and it's only covered in "supplementary study unit 18" which sounds very optional indeed.

We really don't like to educate people about all the terrible stuff we did.

= CEO's are burning company cash on OpenAI/Anthropic/etc subscriptions nobody asked for, are mandating its use, and demanding 10X productivity from their devs because that's what the bigger boys are telling them will happen.

TBH nobody who's been taking any notice of Starmer since before the leadership election should have been conned, this was all quite predictable.

I'm quite hopeful that many more people will join me in voting Green now. Actual optimism about anything is.. more difficult.

I strongly suspect a lot of 'normal' games would actually perform better on these measures than boring 'brain training' ones.

My mother has so far failed to get to grips with BOTW though, which limits its efficacy somewhat. Maybe we need simple games to teach older people to play proper games.
