There were calls for scientists to make more effort to communicate our research, its impact on knowledge creation and society, to enhance the public’s understanding. The mood was subdued and yet upbeat with many young smiling faces. We have to hope that the future is brighter. #StandUpForScience 🧪

They’ve invested in this journey to discover basic truths, find cures for diseases, create knowledge and advance science. If not stopped, these actions will destroy labs and institutions. The loss will be irreparable, impact society at each level. Heartbreaking to hear stories from those affected.

The courts alone will not save us.

Musk is attacking the courts, and the Supreme Court is packed with ideologues who support Trump.
