In the 80s we had "Greed Is Good," but today it's much subtler--self-interest is simply the only valid decision-making lens. "Let's not go to Chik-Fil-A, I don't like their food" is respected, but "Let's not go to Chik-Fil-A, I don't want to support a homophobic company" makes you a tedious scold.
