Finished Floating Dragon, by my main man, Peter Straub. It’s clear this book had a big influence on @stephenking as it shares a loose kind of skeleton with It. I love Straub’s books because they feel like places you can curl into for a long stretch and for his curiously 19th century gravitas. 1/2

Never forget the time I was in a McDonalds 99, early 2000) and the manager was having a disciplinary meeting/intervention with a young punk employee, and she was trying to get him to explain his attitude, and he started quoting Norton’s opening monologue about coffee tables.

Editing soundtrack

Novel edits are one of the most exciting and humbling experiences. Yes, we’re visibly improving the book, but also please stop pointing out how I used the same word seventy-five times in this chapter.
