🦉 It’s a very personal quest for me, for my father tried very hard to find a few of the still standing remains of the old giant chestnut trees in 1963 & again in 1964. He had seen them as a young man, when he attended Clemson University in 1946; he was certain of it even if we were not.

Genoa City, Nevada. It was the first settlement (1851) in what was to become the Nevada Territory (1861-1864). It's nestled at the eastern base of the Sierra Nevada range.
