I just finished reading the new book version of classic Doctor Who audio story The Chimes of Midnight. The audio is still much better but I thought the book largely worked & the extra scenes helped to develop some of the characters. There were a few dialogue changes that bothered me. #DoctorWho

I'm about half way through, it's a great adaptation and seems even darker in book form.

I read through the entire New Adventures novel series in the '10s and made it a ways into the Eighth Doctor Adventures before I fizzled out.

Religiously, I would read the I, WHO entry after each book and marvel at what author Lars Pearson had recorded about that novel.

Looking forward to this episode! I listened when it came out. I adore Kate Orman & Michael Troughton’s reading!

Overall enjoyed it, but with some reservations. Struggled with some of the sci-fi concepts that felt more 2023 than 1966, which took me out of the story. Can’t wait for your review!

Published this Thursday by Penguin Books! 'Doctor Who - 1001 Nights in Time and Space' - with illustrations by me.

My current reading. This book reprints material from early Doctor Who annuals from Hartnell through to Tom Baker (no Davison). One Pertwee text story has the Doctor fight against a Kelad, a robotic creature whose name spelled backwards will be familiar... This predates the Kaleds in Genesis.

I came across Doctor Who: The Art of Time Travel which is coming November 20th!
The book will feature over 300 pages of Peter McKinstry's concept art for the iconic series.
Even when keeping my eye out for artbooks it's easy to miss them!
