Sometime Later... They’re still watching. Mina absentmindedly pops a chocolate into her mouth. Dracula now leans forward, resting his chin on the back of the seat next to Mina’s. In the film, they’re getting their first proper look at Count Orlock. COUNT DRACULA Oh. Oh wow. MINA I know. COUNT DRACULA (simultaneous) He looks amazing. MINA (simultaneous) He looks hideous. They exchange startled, outraged glances. What? COUNT DRACULA Oh, Mina, come on. Have a bit of taste. Look at him.

For anyone wondering how silly I made this.

(The answer is very. I made it VERY silly.)

Just finished #DraculaTheDanseMacabre by @gabrielurbina.bsky.social and I can (positively) sum up my feelings thus:

Everyone go and listen to this, it's only 4 very bingeable episodes with world-class voice acting, writing and sound design. The dynamic between Mina and Dracula is irresistibly electric. And I was genuinely surprised and delighted by the twist at the end. Don't miss out!

Dracula: The Danse Macabre My gosh, the finales really haven’t stopped in these past two weeks, have they? Gabriel Urbina and team delivered the best classic vampire adaptation this holiday season, bar none. And yes, that is shade at Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, which I thought was mostly just okay as a movie, even if it was beautifully shot and well-performed. This show, on the other hand, pulled out all the stops at the very end. Mina Harker and The Count’s tête-à-tête has been delicious from the very beginning, but it’s here, in the finale, where the tables have fully turned and we understand who’s been in control all along. I so hope that the team finds a reason to dip their toes back into her story. Because lord knows, I’d keep tuning in if they did. And I’m sure you would too.

Me: I was genuinely surprised at the ultimate resolution of @draculatdm.bsky.social. I didn't expect Dracula and Mina to end up where they ended up.
