Yo, I got a take about #deltarunetheories.

One thing that I see in a lot of #Deltarune theories is people gassing up the Shadow Mantle; and granted, it's important for lore. That's pretty obvious.

But a lot of people are forgetting you *don't actually* need it to beat the Knight.

Thinking about it rn, I beat the Knight pre-patch V1.03 without the Shadow Mantle… I was also a dumbass and didnt know you could lose the fight once in order to retry it.

Which meant to retry it, I had to restart the game; over and over again.

I think I might’ve been insane, lol

That, and the fact much of Toby's work was legitimately misinterpreted for the better part of 2015-2022, and after there was a huge emphasis on keeping continuity with the entire UT canon. Now once legit criticisms have been boiled down to nit-picky, bad-faith ragebait and it doesn't lead anywhere.

tbh, I think a lot of ppl are really protective of Toby's work and characters because it means so much to them; like, they assign value to arbitrary things because they want to protect the original media they care so deeply for.

at least they took enough responsibility to ensure ppl don't hate on u

I like to think this was a normal Ambyu-Lance with no ties to Tenna or working for him at all and just saw the other three Mike's dressed like that and thought it was some sort of cosplay trend or smth and didn't who Mike is or know how important he was lol
