Reform candidate called it β€˜insane’ to jail man who said β€˜burn asylum hotels’ Exclusive: It comes after The Independent revealed that Matt Goodwin called for β€˜young girls’ to be given β€˜biological reality’ check

Matt Goodwin said in a post on X: β€œWelcome to the UK. Where you go to prison for 18 months for anti-immigration tweets. This is insane.”

No. What is insane is shrugging off incitement to racial murder.

Put this man in the bin, not the House of Commons.

Family you say, Matt?

Would that be the ex and kid you’ve ditched in Hitchin to run a campaign 170 miles away that is dividing communities and the country?

Putin murdered Alexei Navalny in the most disgusting and performative way.

He's a psychopath and a monster.

Now look at politicians in Britain, Europe, and America who are either looking the other way - or engaging in abject whataboutery.

Hilarious. The 'Prosperity Institute' and it's bullshit straight from the tax avoiders in Dubai. How about some balanced reporting Gammon Brexit news ? Chandler is not even a UK citizen.

Keir Starmer, Prime Minister: "We are not the Britain of the Brexit years anymore.

We must look outwards, and work with our European neighbours to keep our country safe.

There is no British security without Europe, and no European security without Britain."

It’s taken me a while but I start my volunteering job tomorrow. For Essex Wildlife. I’m starting off in a gardening job. Moving/digging in snowdrops and daffodils. Just a shame it’s about 3 degrees and wet. Wish me luck 🌧️🌧️🌧️

Trump’s attack on the BBC is a harbinger of much worse to come The BBC has its problemsβ€”but they are nothing compared to the American billionaires who control much of US media

Donald Trump v the BBC: it should be easy to know side you’re on. We should rally to the cause of public service broadcasting before it’s too late app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/72423/...

This is why electrification means more energy security:

In 2024, ~81% of EU electricity came from locally sourced fuels (57% excluding nuclear). Just 19% relied on imported fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels are mostly imported.

I don't agree with much of their rhetoric and a number of their policies but they are following through on many manifesto promises. The pearl clutcher's at the guardian couldn't even run a newspaper without sacking many of their best journalists. In the real world there are difficult decisions

Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick is campaigning against the poor work of Nottinghamshire Council.

Has anyone told him Nottinghamshire Council is Reform UK-run?

Laila Cunningham, Reform UK was invited to speak at the Oxford Union about Churchill.

In her opening remarks she said β€œI didn’t go to Oxford … I didn’t read books … so I don’t come with facts, I don’t come with dates … I come with rhetoric”

Astonishingly it only got worse from there.

The launch of How To Launder Money, written by Cottrell - who was jailed for money laundering - was attended by Farage, Tice, Candy, Cunningham and Brexit Party MEP Daubney. For critics, the symbolism could hardly be clearer: a gathering that feels less ironic than simply taking people for mugs.

This is not explicit enough. Necessary to compare Β£350 million a week (which NHS did not get despite Tory lies) with Β£1700 million a week cost of Brexit…

1700 vs 350

Some people will think 1.7 is less than 350

Believe me. My nurse wife has had patients who didn’t know difference between g and mg

I stopped counting but there are now close to 70 independent studies all coming to similar conclusion:

β€œHydrogen boilers […] remain economically unviable.”

This is what this paper which I had not yet read found comparing a range of heating technologies.

The Dublin Agreement was a huge deterrent. People knew if they arrived in UK & had claimed elsewhere, approved or denied, they would immediately be returned. Now that data sharing is no longer an automatic right. The UK lost access to several shared mechanisms when it left the EU

Unbelievably this wasn’t even raised on SkyNews just now during the interview with Reform's head of policy Zia Yusuf.

If UK news shows won’t call this boll**** out let’s do it ourselves

I like the government pivot to reminding voters that Farage is an avowed enemy of NATO & Europe & an ardent admirer of Vladimir Putin, who routinely orders the murders of critics & opponents. It is politically effective & morally essential.
