Got addicted to the text-based game “Type Help.” Thankfully (?) it’s solvable in about 8-10 hours, so I only lost 2 days to it. But now I want more. Any recs for similar puzzle solving / mystery games? I had to make a spreadsheet to solve Type Help & I was in HEAVEN.

The point is more that things that used to be written works online (how-tos, reviews, news, etc.) have shifted to being videos, largely as part of a “content strategy” to trap more eyeballs & make more ad revenue. There are still written works, but there are fewer as less $ is being invested in them

Movie nerd question: is PREDATOR: BADLANDS the first time we’ve seen Weyland-Yutani in the Predator universe OUTSIDE of the two AVPs? (Because I understand there’s some debate over how canon AVP is.)

I have so many more of these from my mom, although nothing quite as good off the top of my head. She’s got a good sense of humor about it when we tease her. After all, it’s coming for me too - a few months ago I said “paralyzed wood” instead of “petrified wood” and my husband died laughing.

My mom referred to me as “girl” and my brother as “boy” exclusively when speaking about us TO HER DOGS. Who were referred to by their actual names. She does that to this day. We are in our forties.
