The Greenwood yards were designed to be able to do exactly that.

Seems like a perfect spot for sports fields etc.

There was talk of building a police station on top (in recent history), but they selected a location at Dundas & Coxwell instead.

Yeah, the subway yards was also part of the quarry.

Most of the homes in the area were built with bricks make walking distance away.

I am still thinking about the passing of the wonderful Catherine O'Hara.
