I turned up to the toastie event and everyone was knitting. The toasties were fantastic AND I didn't even burn down the kitchen.

A win-win-win scenario!

Had a lovely online craft croup session last night and made great knitting progress.

The in-person knitting group is having a toastie-tasting day today, so I think what I've gained on the swings I will lose on the tasty, tasty, roundabouts.

Paperclips as stitch markers, a YouTube video, and I'm set.

I could probably stand to make my life easier with more tools, though 😅

Combining knitting with my aerial embroidery... I knitted a base, which was then attached and sewn over to create a wild meadow 🌱🌼 the first of hopefully a series of landscape experiments using this method! I wanted to create more variety than my usual cotton bases. Zoom in to see the flowers :)

Here's what I finished today! This project is really coming along so well. My goal is to finish this motif in the next couple of days 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I was looking at self-build plots today, which is an utter pipe dream, but one of the ladies at my knitting group mentioned the schemes councils have for them and I got curious.

You could at least design your own dubious carvings, I suppose!

I’m glad I am in writing job applications today - I only knew the weather was turning when I opened Pokémon Go and the backgrounds were snowy 😅

I only, after a decade, wore through a pair of jeans that my mother wore for a decade before handing down to me.

I still wear the denim shirt my stepdad owned in the late seventies and gave to me in the late 90s, and it only has some scuffing at the cuffs despite being a finer weight.

Went to a workshop to learn quilling - there was only time in 1.5 hours to practice different shapes and techniques, but I can see how this could be a relaxing art form.

Another nervewracking personal first in progress - started on the presentation of my first knitting pattern this morning (the one mentioned in my Vlog).

I'm using Affinity free version for laying things out and it's going okay so far!
