This morning most North Carolina SNAP beneficiaries saw partial payments on their EBT cards, and I am grateful to NCDHHS for working quickly to get the rest of November's payments out the door as soon as this weekend. We will keep working to make sure families can put food on the table this month.

The SNAP funds will be released on Wednesday! But then I learned they will only release partial funds and might not send them out right away. They are telling us that DJT can fly down to MaraLago, cost us millions each time you do it, throw lavish parties, but you cannot afford to feed the hungry?

No one in America should see their healthcare costs rise by $25,000, but that's what families are facing here in North Carolina.
Still, House Republicans won't come to work to find a long-term solution to their health care crisis.
Millions of Americans, including 1.4 million North Carolinians, rely on SNAP benefits to put food on the table. I’ll continue to do everything in my power to keep families fed, but the Administration needs to release these critical funds.

This isn't a partisan issue, it's a moral one.
The General Assembly needs to prioritize the people of North Carolina, come back to Raleigh, and pass a full budget that give our teachers, law enforcement officers, and other public servants much needed pay raises, meaningfully invests in public safety, and fully funds Medicaid.

JUST IN: The U.S. Senate has voted 52–48 to overturn Trump’s 50% tariffs on Brazil. Five Republicans joined Democrats: Susan Collins (ME), Mitch McConnell (KY), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rand Paul (KY), and Thom Tillis (NC).
The measure is DOA in the House.
If Washington doesn’t act now, 888,000 North Carolinians will see their out-of-pocket health insurance premiums double on average in 2026 and more than 150,000 will lose their health care altogether. We cannot afford this. America needs you to do your jobs.
