We have 1 week of class left before exams start, and I have 15 seniors who are either failing or at risk. I've never had numbers like this. Never. My brain knows it's not my fault. My heart can't be convinced otherwise. I feel like I have failed them.

One of my students asked to use the restroom. He was only gone a few minutes and came back with a take out plate of chicken alfredo.

Maintenance is *actually* here to fix the heat in my room. They need to access the ceiling of my teacher neighbor's room. That heaux told him to come back at the end of class - 75 min later. I. Just. Can't.

To make matters worse, it's only a 76 tepid degrees in my room.

When you don't have enough teachers, you have overloaded classes and end up with the catastrophe that has been my 1st semester. I am feeling end of year, next to the last day of school, tired. We still have a week until final exams.

Some of these kids think that since my planning is during their lunch, it's an open invitation to visit. S'cuse me? I got shit to do. And it doesn't involve chit chatting with you.
