I love #LARP but don't care for TTRPGs. When playing D&D, I'm either engaging with the game, or I'm waiting for my turn to engage. A lot of nothing, it feels.

At least when LARPING, downtime can be active, with exploration or conversation. It could also be restful. I love my LARP downtime.

My first #LARP character, Joryn, had a habit of running towards danger, rather than away.

A character death at LARP is bittersweet. I was sad to put away his costume for the last time, but I got to experience his final goodbye and see the real emotion in others over it

My first #LARP character, Joryn, on trial for charges of murder, and found innocent.

PVP in our system is allowed, though an unspoken agreement exists between most players to choose your targets wisely and with consideration to the other players experience.

At Duskmoor (Underworld #LARP outside Toronto), we finished our first season about a month ago.

My current character is a wizard named Balthazar. I tried to make his outfit a blend of wizard and pirate.
