The Washington Post just laid off its entire award-winning photo team. They were our eyes in places we'll never see. It's a horrifying loss at a time when lying governments, propaganda and AI slop are on the rise.

Props to NPR for leading the newscast w/ the president's racist post. But, c'mon...they're not false narratives. They're lies. Words matter (Once again, don't give me the 'but we don't know what he knows or is thinking.')

I think they're unfortunately really good at succeeding in the media marketplace. Fox is #1 in cable. MAGA influencers are dominating much of the web. As much as at it sucks, The Free Press is a business success too.

That would be cool, but this might be a case where less is more. More budget would also mean bureaucracy, which isn't working out so well at CBS
