Driving home from the gym today, I was behind a car that had used what looked like mailbox letter stickers to spell out “WARNING: I DRIVE LIKE YOU” on their bumper, which I thought was pretty excellent. Very “I hope you have the day you deserve” energy.

In a similar vein, when my grandma moved out of her house, I was sent several boxes of my dad’s old things, which is how I found my grandma saved ELEVEN of my dad’s baby teeth, each in their own individual envelope.

I think it would be fine to say “nice to meet you”, but you could also swap in “glad” or “good” for “nice” - I think most people understand that it’s a standard greeting that’s not event-dependent. If I had more time, I’d probably also add “I wish it was under better circumstances”.

My dad was legendary for mailing lovingly hand-drawn/written maps to help people driving from out of state to get to our house for visits, and I DEEPLY wish I still had any of those!

Note: I chose the Full/Queen size option within the pattern (the #MaypoleQuilt from Suzy Quilts) because 1) I wanted it to cover my body and 2) I have no spatial reasoning and could not imagine how big the fabric pieces would be when I was working on them.
