Idk how to describe the feelings I have for Trump demolishing the White House. Words fail me.

It’s weird how the “young” Republicans are actually full-grown men and JD Vance treats them as children who shouldn’t face consequences for their racism, misogyny, or xenophobia.

But pregnant 12-year-old little girls are treated as adults and must literally bear the consequences of rape and incest.

True to form, the cats prefer to nap on the blankets next to it.

(Yes, they did zero out the final cost. If they hadn't, I was prepared to get the things that could be removed from the unit.)

I spent 6 times more than the final cost on upgrades that increased the value of the unit. After everything I went through during the move out process, I'm not going to be sympathetic to something they *chose* to do, but didn't have to.

Like, I'm sorry you got impatient, chose to do this, and felt bad afterwards, but that's 100% a "you problem." Welcome to being a landlord, I guess?

1. They *chose* to clean. They had already scheduled a cleaner. They were impatient and did this on their own.

2. I assume they didn't wear gloves or anything. Again, their choice.

3. That doesn't change the fact that I spent money on upgrades to the unit.

I had the worst move out experience with my previous landlord. One of the things that bother me the most is when I asked to zero out remaining charges due to the upgrades I spent my own money on. They replied saying that they spent time cleaning and got "rash and illness."

I have it on the laptop I use for school. I use it maybe 3-4 hours per week. It's... fine. It's an OS. But it gets a zillion updates and that's kind of wild.

Even after we deal with Trump, we'll be cleaning up the mess he created for decades. Once you mainstream bigotry, it takes a long time and a lot of work to make it shameful again.

I enjoyed the reading and decided to get a copy of my own. I got it used for $7. A new copy is $80. 😅

One of my classes this qtr has 5 books on the textbook list. We don't have to buy them, we can rent digital copies from the campus library.

One month in and the only book we've been assigned reading from isn't even on the list. 🤷‍♀️

There are some things my partner and I do that "make up for" what the other doesn't.

He empties a moving box. I break it down.

I cook dinner. He puts away the leftovers.

It's nice to be with someone who balances you like this. We help each other based on what we like to do.

Again, every time this happens, we literally have no idea if the masked, plainclothes people are actual government agents, or private citizens acting in party-affiliated paramilitaries. The whole point of IDs & uniforms & no masks is that we know these things.

I unpacked some books yesterday. One was a custom book my 6th grade class got to make. We got to pick out what we put in it - stories, poems, art, etc. The school sent it out for professional binding with our names on the spine. They spelled my name wrong. That still bothers me.
