I know people looking for rental assistance, they just don't know who to talk to. If everyone is giving, where do they go to get? These people got cut off from food stamps and are buying food rather than paying rent. They are in Whittier neighborhood.

I’ve had multiple Tenant families denied rental assistance over the past two months- these are people who are on section 8 and lost food stamps. I’ve also had families picked up/detained by ice so they are stuck as well.

In Minneapolis, we could start by reducing the huge property tax increases the Mayor and City Council initiated on rental properties- MPLS has raised mine 20% over the past two years. These costs get passed on to renters similar to how home owners have to absorb these increases.

I think the sidewalks have to be cleared, just not by the city. Pedestrians deserve cleared sidewalks AND they can't wait 3 days like all the streets. I just don't think the city is up to the job.

Actually, I think a pilot is a great idea. It will allow the council to figure out the cost to roll it out to the entire city.

That’s a really good point but we have over 2,000 miles of sidewalks per staff-protected bike lanes are very limited-so not the same- I understand the thought if we can do it on a small scale, why not city wide which is what people are talking about. How many miles of bike lanes get plowed? Thanks

I'm struck by the comment that it's more cost effective if the city can get residents to do it for free rather than pay to hired staff to do it. Duh-it would be cheaper if residents cleared the streets for free as well.

I'm don't understand how this would work. It takes 3 days to clear the streets with a large staff of regular employees and lots of equipment with years of experience. How can the city actually hire enough people, buy sidewalk plows and clear quicker/better than the current system? Seems impossible

What if I like to read a physical paper that was put together by people who make a good wage for working hard? Seems like they don’t want to produce it as a paper but rather move to an online format to cut costs and raise profits

Minnesota Tribune-You discontinue printing the paper in Minneapolis and move your operation to Iowa but on the 1st day, I get an e mail that you can't deliver because of weather issues? It snowed 5". Why not say, you screwed this up and subscribers can no longer trust that we will get the paper

This is a really important thing about speed cameras. They actually do change driver behavior and force people to slow down. They should be an important tool in creating safer streets *along with* design changes.

My advise to first time home buyers is to buy a duplex and house hack- most affordable way to get into home ownership- live in one unit and rent the other so you have someone helping to pay the mortgage.

I’m more curious why they’d close the ticket saying it’s gone? It just makes us not trust the city or its processes- wish it wasn’t so- can you go back and see who lied and said it wasn’t there and counsel them if they don’t want to do their job?
