Wow! Where do I sign? Unfortunately, the UK'S track record in supporting the arts is consistently underwhelming...

I've gone the self- publishing route so far. Gives you a great sense of achievement, but tough to get noticed!

Personally, I think the jury's still out on Prologues.
I've just picked up a psychological thriller published by Harper Collins in 2022 which has a two-page prologue.
Now re-thimking my plan to cull the Prologue from my WIP!

Yep, definitely join a writing group - you can just listen to others for a few weeks first and see how you feel, then ask for a reading slot when you're ready. Some of the feedback others get can be really helpful anyway and if you're up for it, you can go to the pub after!
