I do tend to like worldbuilding, but that may be a holdover from playing D&D

I find the eye second image feels more static, so I'd say it depends on if you want the creature to be more grounded or not.

So, it's not exactly a greeting, but my upcoming book has a frequently used gesture. Many people supporting an Orc contestant in the Thirteen Down tournament tend to use the ASL sign for Orc while cheering for him.
