Tarot is a minefield for folks who want to go deep+clear about an aspect of their life that needs tending, clarity, and compassion.
If this is you, I'm offering tarot readings, in pre-recorded video format, that you can process at your own pace. For more info, take a look at my website.

Tarot cards as a tool for personal growth / self-development is excellent for people who are:
β’ interested in psychology, of course
β’ see meaning and symbolism in visuals, numbers, and names
β’ are interested in spiritual ideas / at least open to them
#TarotSky
in a tarot reading, synchronicity is active when we look at the cards presented to us & we instinctively relate them to what is happening in our lives and in our psyches. (2/2)
#Tarot β’ #TarotSky β’ #PersonalGrowth β’ #PersonalDevelopment β’ #Spirituality
one reason that the tarot is helpful is that it operates on the principle of synchronicity (which was developed by carl jung).
synchronicity, or a meaningful coincidence, occurs when two events that don't cause each other, seem to relate (like when you think of a friend who then texts you.) (1/2)
some people prefer not to pull tarots cards or use objects in their spiritual practices. for others, like myself, whose mind are highly active, working with cards and other physical objects can be a fortifying, regulating experience.

28.01.2026 21:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0( 3 / 3 ) An overlap that I like most, which I use frequently, is connecting each suit to elemental theory:
Swords = Air (Thinking β’ Communication β’ Self-Expression)
Wands = Fire (Energy β’ Motivation)
Pentacles = Earth (Actions β’ The Body β’ Material Possessions)
Cups = Water (Emotionsβ’Intuition)
( 2 / 3 ) I also learned that the sixteen Court cards (Pages β’ Knights β’ Queens β’ Kings) correspond to the sixteen Myers-Briggs Type Indicator / MBTI personality types, although exact correspondences are unclear, to my knowledge.
27.01.2026 19:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(1 / 3 ) When I started learning about how to read Tarot cards, their connections to other fields is what fascinated me the most.
For example, we can map the 4 tarot suits to those of standard playing cards:

Pentacles = β¦οΈ
Wands = β£οΈ

in my opinion, using the classic Rider-Waite Smith (RWS) tarot deck, or visually similar decks, is valuable when reading tarot for others, because the images are always foundational for conveying meaning.

every morning, i draw some tarot and oracle cards as a part of my morning routine.
in my practice, the death card never means anything ominous. this card means that something is being discarded in our internal life & that we are changing. the other two were about physical nourishment & stillness.
to me, the emperor card conveys being dynamic, taking action, sharing one's talents and gifts with the world in doing so. since the empress is a card about receiving, i see the emperor as the counterpoint to that theme (in other words, giving)

the slower pace of winter is the ideal atmosphere for self-reflection. even though january 1st is the start of a new calendar year, it is a continuation of winter, so i don't experience the expected sense of renewal on that day. march is usually when i experience that.

much of the #tarot world will probably dislike this idea, but i stand by it: there's a right (effective, healthy) way and a wrong way to engage with tarot cards. a free for all approach leads to lower-quality results and experiences, but standards do keep these aspects solid.

grateful that this tarot book landed in my hands at the bookstore. it introduced me to depth psychology + reminded me that Carl Jung, a psychologist, created the idea of synchronicity, a spiritual idea.
