Made this vest using a discarded leather jacket sleeve, various bits of hardware, but adding the fireman's zipper really sets it off.

Wasteland Bear #205: Slash

Slash belonged to a wastelander who suffered from terrible nightmares. Slash was made as a way to bring one of those nightmares out of their head, and turn it into a friend.

The nightmares didn't stop completely, but they were often easier with Slash by their side.

Patch & Slash have to work hard to look this bad in pictures. But they're committed to the cryptid-life.

I think it would be great if someone got really proficient with the Otamatone, and then took it out and did karaokes with it.

A new watercolor, experimenting with a design I did previously. Definitely better fungus here, and it's a bit larger. Nothing specifically fantastical, but it still feels fantasy to me.

Hidden behind the "foreign sounding" name is a very important fact that the administration hopes their supporters won't realize.

If they can deport Mahmoud Khalil for exercising his free speech, they can deport anyone. To anywhere. For any reason.

I just can't get behind "Duke" as a dog name. Sure it sounds kind of cool initially, and it was the name of the talking dog from the baked bean commercials.

But practically? What are you going to call him as a cure nickname? Dukey Dog? Dooky Dog? Dorky Dog? It's no good.

Maybe "Your Lordship"?

If you ever lose all your dice, the mission is over and you have been lost to the Wasteland.

If down to 1 die, then you're "limping home". You can no longer collect salvage, any hazard kills you, and you lose 1 salvage each time you roll.

You only win if you roll Shelter before you reach 0.

To finish the mission/turn successfully and bank your salvage points, you need at least one salvage point, and a roll that includes at least 1 shelter and 0 hazards (even mitigated ones).

Then you pound on the table and say "Let Me In!"

One or two Firepower can be spent to reduce or mitigate the loss from Abominations.

A Shelter can be spent to mitigate an Exposure.

Two food can be spent to recover a die lost previously to Exposure.

Two scrap can be spent to adjust any other non-hazard die to any non-hazard face you want.

These faces represent the hazards in red: Exposure, and Mutant Abominations.

When rolled, they remove themselves from the dice pool, which is also your health.

The abomination takes an extra die with it.

The blue face represents Shelter which you need to finish with, to bank salvage points.

Each play of "Let Me In!" represents a mission, leaving the safety of your apocalypse bunker to hunt for vital resources

These three faces represent the Resources: Scrap, Food are worth 1 salvage point each, and Firepower is worth 2.

The laser cutter is functional at last and I've begun producing my dice with it! Still some improvements to the process to make, but I'm pleased with the result so far.

A round shield made of foam over a bare workshop floor. It has a black rounded edge, and it's face features a flat metallic cut-out of a wolf skull with open jaw in copper with bolts and edges distressed with green verdigris. The surface of the shield has a tatami texture and is painted forest green. The black color of the rim extends onto the green surface in uneven spikes 1-3 inches long, reminiscent of a silhouetted fir treeline.

New jugger punch shield just about ready. This is the first shield I'm making just to have it ready for sale at the next big event.

I hope that the people realizing now that Trump lied to them about who he was, what he would do, and that he cared about any of them, will soon make the leap to realizing that maybe he also lied about Kamala, and Dems, and all the people they still think are "the enemy" based on 45's propoganda bs.

I mean yeah... but there's no way Trump could possibly figure out the word "instantiated."

A conversation like this came up in the LARP community a while back. Imagine a merrily burning campfire with mighty armored warriors sitting around it boasting and telling tails of their exploits and victories.

And all the while, around, between, behind them, is a woman alone collecting firewood.
