Revisiting this 6 months later: 1/3 looks likely. Hamilton has not only not matched Leclerc's pace, he seems a shadow of the driver he once was. Russell has stepped up, against my expectations while Kimi has struggled. And McLaren managed the driver's championship better (so far) than I thought.

Next is bus, with an estimated time of 1 hour 6 minutes, and which still includes 23 minutes of walking. Way down at the bottom is the quickest option at 35 minutes, but which leaves almost 5 hours later than the other options.

How is public transit near where I live? Well when I ask Google for directions, it tells me the best option is "walk".

Graham Greene made everything he was in better. My favourite performance of his was probably Walter Crow Horse in Thunderheart, a movie I'm fond of but most people seem to be indifferent to, if they know it exists at all. With his passing we gave now lost all the leads of that film.

Might be risky saying this the same week as new albums from both The Beaches and The Beths come out, but for me, Moisturizer by Wet Leg is the album of the year.
It's superior in every way to their debut, unless you miss the more overt humour.

One of the problems with this "common sense" talk about traffic congestion is that congestion is treated like something that happens *to* cars,when in fact it *is* the cars. By making it something external to the cars invites ineffective strategies, when the only thing that works is fewer cars.

I wasn't aware of that, living as I do now in a province without 7-11s. Perhaps another flap of that particular butterfly's wings...

There are people who would probably call me woke because I am using a combination of solar and wind power to dry my laundry.

For the 10 years I used it pretty much every day, and then even during the pandemic, I didn't really think much about it. But now that I'm in Halifax - I miss the Skytrain. Signed, someone who apparently will now sit through a video of the commute I used to do.

Never seen "transmission interruption" as a cause for a power outage before. Don't know is that means it will be a long one - but sure sounds like it could be a long one...

They look far better than any previous home video release. And I think most of the "flaws" are really only noticeable to someone who is watching for them rather than watching the movie like most people do.

I won't be too sad to see Christian Horner go - but it does make me wonder, is there any team principals that I actually like? I feel like the more I see of them the less I like them. Maybe only James Vowles is the exception...

It's definitely telling that he believes that the "mandate" given to him by the ~42% that voted for him somehow supersedes the mandate given to the councillors by the voters in their respective districts. As is the view that those mandates are "obstacles" to be overcome.

(2/2) And then with the live stream, if you join mid race even if you choose watch from start it shows a bit of the live feed (spoilers!). And finally if you're still watching the live feed when they conclude theirs it just stops on the "coverage has ended" screen even if you haven't caught up.

I really like the F1TV app and coverage but there are a couple of quirks that are annoying but not deal breakers. The app on my tv requires signing in way too often, pretty much every race. (Cont'd 1/2)

The drive of Hulkenburg's career and a well deserved podium. Piastri will feel he was robbed but that was definitely a penalty - not sure why the F1TV commentators were making every excuse in the book for him. And Norris achieves his dream but it was Piastri's race to win. More wet races please!

Maybe it goes back to the days when Murray Walker would breathlessly update us about what Mansell was doing even if he was in 8th place, but when the announcers went into hysterics about the possibility of a Hamilton pole I found myself rooting against him in the final sector...

... for me Ebon Moss-Bachrach is the standout. It's more than just a performance, there isn't a moment that you don't believe that Richie is a real person. Some of the best acting I've ever seen.

At this price I'd say it's effectively a subsidy, I doubt it even recovers the cost of maintaining the patch of asphalt that gets parked on.
